Electric Shower Fault Finder

  • There is no water coming from my electric shower:
    • Is the water turned on?
    • Is there electricity getting to the shower?
    • Have you checked the fuse?
    • Solenoid valve may be faulty.
    • May be a faulty micro switch.

  • There is water coming from my electric shower but it is cold/cool:
    • May be faulty micro switch.
    • May be faulty flow control valve.
    • Element in heating tank may be faulty.

  • There is water leaking from unit:
    • Do not use!!!!
    • Pressure switch diaphragm may have failed.
    • Pressure relief device (PRD) may have failed.

  • There is a poor flow of water from my showerhead:
    • Clean showerhead.
    • May be blocked or faulty hose.
    • May be faulty flow control valve.
