Power Shower Fault Finder

 

  • There is no water coming from my shower:
    • Have you checked the fuse?
    • Is there electricity getting to the shower?
    • If you have a transformer is it working properly?
    • Is the water turned on?
    • May be faulty Printed Circuit Board. (PCB)
    • May be faulty reed or flow switch.

  • My shower drips from the showerhead:
    • Shower valve requires new seal kit or cartridge.

  • The shower motor/pump will not run:
    • Have you checked the fuse?
    • Is there electricity getting to the shower?
    • If you have a transformer is it working properly?
    • May be faulty PCB.
    • May be faulty reed or flow switch.
    • Is motor working properly?
    • May require new brushes.

  • There is a poor flow of water from the showerhead:
    • Clean showerhead.
    • May be blocked or faulty hose.
    • May be blocked inlet filters.
    • Is pump working properly?

 


    Obviously we cannot cover all faults here as this is only the basics and some faults are specific to your model of shower. Remember that most shower repairs will require a fully qualified professional and you should not remove the cover of your shower unless you know what you are doing and accept responsibility for your actions.
